About Vacaville

Vacaville’s history traces back to the early days of pioneering when settlers came to stake their claims in the fertile land. Their prosperous farms gave way to major agriculture production as the regions fruit and nut crops were shipped throughout the nation. Vacaville also became a Pony Express stop, setting the stage for the transcontinental railroad eight years later. In 1892, Vacaville was incorporated as a city and continued to flourish into the vibrant community it is today.
